I am currently producing my Vegan Friendly Strops once again. It has been a while since I offered these but now have a good supply of the raw materials needed and should be able to offer them into next year for sure.
This time I have added a few new models to the line up. I am making both my Artisan style with Dee Ring grips and a Traditional Plain Cut End strop from my synthetic material in both 2" and 2 1/2" widths. On the 2 1/2" models you can choose between my standard firm, fine weave Cotton or my Genuine Natural Fiber Linen. On the 2" models I have a soft, medium weave Cotton.
Another new addition are my Vegan Friendly Practice Strops! These are simple 2" Synthetic strops with a nylon para-cord and wooden bead hanger and are offered only with the purchase of any of my regular vegan strops.
The Vegan models use no animal products in their construction but are made in the same shop and with the same tools as my leather strops if that is important for you.
While I like the feel of leather strops more than synthetic strops these do make a very durable choice for travel as they are nearly indestructable and impervious to water or moisture. They do have a substantial draw, much like latigo but you can control your stropping pressure to lighten the draw a bit.
These are available directly through my storefront (see the link in my signature line). I only make about 6 or 8 a week so if the model you want shows as sold out check back in a few days as they will be listed again as earlier orders are completed and shipped. I don't like to take more orders than I can complete in a week so products are rotated as workshop time is available. My storefront is closed on Sundays though as I do not conduct business on that day.
Some new Travel Strops will be available in 2 weeks and I will have some new leather choices in October!
