I've been on the forum for a couple days and decided it was time to check in. I just finished my first shave, thanks to the generosity of JBHoren, a good deal of experience with blades, and a bit of ingenuity. I definitely enjoyed it more than any other shave I've ever had. Not the closest it's ever been, but not bad, and with no irritation whatsoever. I'll be here for a while.
P.S. I also experienced my first razor heartbreak today, when someone outbid me 3 minutes from closing a deal on an Ernst Kaiser vintage straight razor, in beautiful condition. That sucked.
