View Full Version : Guess my avatar ...

I've done some shopping recently and have been rather disturbed at the amount of Christmas decorations I've seen out already. Some of it started before Halloween. This kind of thing gets me down as the whole commercial aspect of Christmas is screaming at me before I've had a chance to get in the mood for the season as a whole. In the spirit of this, I have put up my bummed out Christmas (though not Christmas per se) avatar. Does anyone recognize it?
Edit-
This thread has taken an "interesting" direction into the realm of "anatomy", but the original question has been answered. Since I'm going to switch my avatar, attached is the one in question for the sake of preserving this thread.

Citizen Kane's snow globe. What'd I win?
Edit: Well, technically it's the snow globe from Citizen Kane. Charles Foster Kane's his full name

You win the satisfaction of making me even more bummed out in that I thought I was being a lot more clever than I was. I guess I'm going to have to put up my Benny Hill avatar again to cheer myself up. And what was Mr. Charles Foster Kane saying around the time of the screen cap?
You guys are fast. Pretty smart, too. :thumbup1:

I think I'll just nip my answer in the bud and let someone else get it.
Of course, trivia tends to be a slippery slope, which really works for the object named in your question.
Ah, it's "snow" use, I can't stop myself. hehe
Rosebud- but what was Orson Welles referring to when he used that word?....:detective:

Since no one else has answered it I have to.
Rosebud was his sled. Which was part of the memory the snow globe triggered when he wasn't feeling too happy.

Legend has it (http://www.wellesnet.com/?p=156) that "Rosebud" was William Randolph Hearst's pet name for Marion Davies' kittynose (http://www.windhorst.org/caen/index.htm).

I thought it was the emblem to an Impala that was stuck on the front of Rosebud.

I was aware of that, but thought I'd stop the trivia game at the sled.

I'd love to drag the trivia on a little more, personally. I can't think of any witty questions, though. :frown:

I'll start another if I run into a suitable avatar.

The movie was The Italian Job. Benny Hill was a professor.
The Italian Job, but don't recall the fixation.

I admit I hit the search engine, but his fixation was fat women. Or as Freddy Mercury would say, fat-bottomed girls.
Edit: Some other trivia: There's a statue of Freddy Mercury. Where's it located?

correct trivia answers on Italian Job and big butts ... putting Benny Hill and Butt in the same sentence was too much for my juvenile mind to resist.
