Sandalwood and Bay Rum soap recommendations

Fellas,

I think Proraso really hit a home run with their Red sandalwood cream. Even though I'm not a cream guy, I can't get enough. Any recommendations on a good sandalwood soap that I haven't yet tried (e.g. TOBS, HoneyBee Gardens, etc)?

Ditto on Bay Rum. I really like Conk's Bay Rum scent, but what if I want a tallow based soap?

Jeff, I'm in love with the proraso sandalwood as well, and I find AOS sandalwood to be very similarly scented.

Sorry, bay rum just isn't my thing.

May I suggest QCS Mysore Sandalwood croap - the best sandalwood scent and outstanding performance. My new favorite SW soap by far.

Thus far, I have been disappointed with every Bay Rum soap that I have tried. I do have some of Mike's Natural Bay Rum on the way so hopefully that will change.

For Bay Rum, you gotta get Mystic Waters. It is a terrific scent. One of my favorites soaps.

As for sandalwood, +1 on QCS.

On a related note, is Captains Choice Bay Rum AS one of the best? It's on my wish list at the moment.

I don't know if you've tried it but I always liked AOS Sandalwood soap.

I think Captain's Choice bay rum is the best. How's that?

Pirate's Cove shave soap is a glycerine soap, and their sandalwood is pretty nice. Quite different from Poraso's in it is more "perfumy" while Poraso is more "woody"

Mystic Water makes a very nice Bay Rum. AOS Sandalwood with out a doubt, one of the best performing soaps I have tried.

A pure type light sandalwood is going to be razorock. top performance.

I like the RR La Famiglia Nonno Michelino Sandalwood but find the scent to be very faint. Proraso, on the other hand, smells woody and it suits me. Now if they would only make it in a croap.

I've found I like noticeable scents, but not overpowering (like Mama Bear can be).
