WTB: New/unused Plisson HMW #12 or #14

Hello, I'm a long time lurker and have been bitten by the B.A.D bug in the worst possible way. I have Simpson, Shavemac, Rooney and EJ brushes now and want to step up to the so-called ultimate.

So, if you have a new/unused Plisson size 12 or 14 in HMW that you are having second thoughts about getting wet and want to sell it, please PM me with the details and a photo if possible.

Frank, that's going to be hard. If I ever got my hands on a new Plisson, I'd use it the first chance I got. Good luck and welcome to B&B!

All the best of luck... but I'd be totally stunned if anyone contacts you.

Keep in mind - purchasing a Plisson is almost always a lengthy process that requires a fair amount of time/effort and money. I cannot imagine anyone putting in that much time/effort/$ - and not at least giving the brush a go.

In fact - I would be HIGHLY suspect of ANYONE who tells you they have a $400+ brush they never even tried unless it was DrP who has probably $20K+ in shaving brushes.

Do you guys think that Colonial Drug store in Boston would have a 12 or 14 HMW in stock? I'm going to call them tomorrow. I checked Atkinson's web site and it did not look like they had that size in stock. I was hoping to aquire one in the US if possible to avoid the wait and hassle of getting it through customs, etc.

And, I will modify my request to include slightly used brushes. If you tried your Plisson a couple of times and decide that you would like to sell it, let me know.

Welcome. I suspect that it is very likely that Kathy has a #12 HMW in stock, although possibly not in every handle type. Atkinsons's may also, you never know. If Kathy doesn't, might be worth calling them.
