Any DE head shavers out there??

I have a buddy on the verge of tipping over to the DE side of shaving, however one of his hang-ups is head shaving. He is worried about "blind shaving" the back of his head with a DE razor. As a non bald member of B&B, I have no advice to give.

With that, I call upon my bald brethren. Do you guys head shave?

Yes I do. I didn't have any problems diving straight into head shaving with my DE, although I had been shaving my head with a cartridge razor for years. I find it helps to tilt my head forward when doing the back, but other than that as long as he goes carefully at first he should be fine. He will appreciate the non-clogging of a DE if he's using a cartridge razor at the moment.

I got into DE shaving to do my dome. I tried for a couple weeks with my electric, but it took forever. I shaved my face with the DE for a handful of shaves before going at the dome. The head is easier to shave than the face, and the skin in tougher. The best thing is that I Love my morning shave now!

Awesome! Thanks gents. He currently is a cartridge razor guy and is looking for a change. One of the changes he said he wanted to make was to the electric. (my face cringed when he said that)

I shave the head with a DE and straight razors. It takes some practice to get a full clean shave but it's not difficult. There have been some topics about head shaving recently, you might wanna doe a search, there are many here that head shave. Have a nice weekend!
