So I've been getting less scared to try new techniques, I think all newbies who have shaves with no irritation or nicks do this. I went XTG for a while on my face (neck is still hard for me, only did WTG) and I then moved to ATG on my cheeks (sometimes, if I felt hairs tugging I would just do XTG again).
Then I did it, I decided to go ATG on my neck, damn it all, I wanted to get 'er done. I could have hurt myself much worse, but I think the blade I'm using (Shark SS) is very forgiving. No nicks but it annoyed me and I broke out in a bad razor burn a few hours after.

I've found that I think I just have non-sensitive skin as my razor burn the next morning is all but gone (I did apply AS balm twice though in hopes of clearing it faster). I am pretty sure I'll skip shaving today to just let my neck recover.

Moral of the story: If my neck doesn't look perfect, the answer is not to force the razor ATG on it, be patient, wait a week or two and practice techniques SLOWLY AND CORRECTLY.

Maybe this will help some other people who may have rushed to ATG, I think allowing my neck to have stubble gives me a near perfect shave with no irritation instead of forcing the neck to have no hair, but a ton of razor bumps.
