Can this be done? If so, how should I go about ordering that handle or a similar style (in horn, ideally) ?

The head on the T&H Carlton is the same as the EJ/Mühle 89 head. Cooncatbob could probably turn you a new handle for your R89 head.

Also, you can use the BB discount code, BB12, at T&H to get a better price on the Carlton (http://www.truefittandhill.com/detail_00363__18.html).

For a bit less you can get the Edwin Jagger Chatsworth (http://www.theenglishshavingcompany.com/cgi-bin/psProdDet.cgi/LHCSR||@cTraditional%20safety%20&%20double%20edge%20razors@bEdwin%20Jagger|15|user| |24|) which is almost identical to the Carlton except for the chrome tip at the end of the handle.

I love the chrome tip, though =P

I wish I could order just the handle. I'll have to do some research, because $85 for the razor from T&H (after B&B discount) is a bit much--for just a handle.

You could always buy the Carlton and sell your old Edwin Jagger razor. That would help defray the cost a bit. I didn't even know there was a horn version of the Chatsworth handle. That looks nice.
