Just wanted to officially say "Hi" for the first time. I started wetshaving about 8 years ago with a puck of Williams and a Wilkinson's boar from WalMart. About 2 years ago, I started lurking on this forum when I was looking for opinions on razors, soaps, etc. and started DE shaving with a EJ Chatsworth and some D R Harris.
I loved that this forum's members never hammered a guy for making a mistake, and there's no such thing as a stupid question. Everyone here who isn't a noob can remember when he was. The members don't slag vendors, and try to be as objective as possible with their reviews (occasional over-excitement is tolerated and well understood - we've all been blown away by a new product at some point).
In less than two years, I've managed to amass several razors, brushes, and a serious SAD. (Seriously, I'd have to live to about 95 to use up all this shaving soap).
For me, shaving has gone from a chore to a zen moment. I find myself watching TV in the evening, and wondering what shave soap I'm going to use the next morning. Whatever disease it is that causes a grown man to want to save change in a jar so that he can get a razor within a year (did that to get my Feather AS), I've got it pretty bad! I figured, since I'm clearly infected, I might as well join the forum and participate with the rest of the infected. We mustn't quarantine this! We gotta spread the word!

Welcome to B&B! I believe I said more-or-less the same thing in *MY* first intro post, I think I said something to the effect of "the opposite of the YouTube comments section." If Marco shows up he'll say something along the lines of "best community in the world" and, quite frankly, I agree with him. You will quickly find the people here are supportive and helpful to each other here, as opposed to demmed near everywhere else, where they are only too quick and eager to tear each other down. And as you correctly said, there are no stupid questions, except "Don't you think the Mach3 provides a better shave than the Merkur 34C?" or "Does anyone else want to go back to their can of Gillette Fusion shaving gel?"

Hello, Beezerpuppy. The infectious disease you refer to...all of us on this forum have it and we know exactly what you are talking about. But is a "good" infection. Welcome and enjoy your shaves.

Canada is a lot like Minnesota to me. In winter have a lot of time indoors to enjoy many hours of shaving or watching TV. In summer, you have a lot of time indoors avoiding the mosquitoes to enjoy many hours of shaving... or watching TV. Spring and fall were my favorite times of year. Welcome!

Ah-ha my shaving friend...so that's where you've been hiding (and 2 years at that), all this time have you now...but that's OK because now you're with us (and from where you live in Ontario, Canada...hockey is the 'Coolest Game on Earth'...Yeah Baby!!!). http://www.picgifs.com/smileys/smileys-and-emoticons/hockey-and-ice-hockey/smileys-hockey-and-ice-hockey-989187.gif
Anyway, welcome aboard the B & B (besides being enrolled in the fictional, sacred and utopian Order of Shavedom). Please feel free to come up to the sun deck & 'sit-a-spell' and thank you for dis-engaging you're 'lurking device' (another member comes out from the mist).

Sounds like you've been well on your way to shaving nirvana and yes...this Forum has the knowledge, ideas, and all around 'know-how' to assist in your Wet-Shaving experience. In a nut-shell...your 'gonna' love it here.
Q. By the way, what other brand(s) of razor, blades, scents ect... are you using? http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-merv/thinking.gif
Although, you are already 'hooked'...(I think I'm holding up fairly well...with a few exceptions), we all suffer (gladly and are doomed perhaps), from this shaving complusion (and other Acquisition Disorders), because at times..."Resistance is futile". http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-alien003.gif
"Lead us not into temptation. Just tell us where it is; we'll find it". Sam Levenson
Please don't forget once you get time....to tell us a little about yourself in the Hall of Fame sub-forum.
