You're welcome! Stay tuned, as there is a lot more to come! Straight razors are fun, and it would be nice to have all the resources to help out new straight razor users, and in an easy to use format.
Again - thanks for the kind words, they are greatly appreciated, and incredibly motivating!

Will they become stickys? They look like they'll get lost roaming around the forum.

Damn you for putting together such an enticing resource! Every time I read more about straight razors, I get the itch to try... and Joel's guide is practically making me salivate.
Oh, and the photography is HOT too. REALLY well done!!

The main Posting - IE the table of contents is currently a sticky at the top of the general straight razor forum, with the table of contents hot-linked. Once completed, I'll make it a sticky in each straight razor forum (strops, hones, razors) so the main TOC will be readily available.
It would be nice to sticky them all.... but since there are SO many of them, it might clutter things up to have it, and the TOC stickied. Also, I'd feel a little weird about having that many of my posts stickied
You could copy them over to the wiki...

You could copy them over to the wiki...
I think this will eventually happen. The nice thing about having them in the forum is for discussion. Over time, as the discussion dies down and the main articles are deemed definitive, or as close to that as we can get, we can copy the information over to the wiki.
Yeah, at the point where the treads might start to get buried, so to speak. Then you could copy them over.

Agreed on the original compliment. Joel, this guide is superb! Especially, for me as a newbie to straights, the detailed guide on how to shave. All the specifics on skin stretching and how to hold the razor are very useful. I printed out the thread, all 32 pages, for easy reference.
Thanks for putting this together.

Thanks! - Ideally I'll have the main content finished by tomorrow, including video's imbedded into the posts (from thr B&B DVD).
Hope this helps!
