This may have been discussed before, if so I apologize. Does anyone make containers for stick soaps anymore? Like the old Colgate ones, as an example. I travel a lot, and was looking for something nicer to put a stick in. If not, what do you guys use?

I bought several of the metal Colgate shave stick containers from eBay to use with Valobra shave sticks. But since Irisch Moos & DR Harris shave sticks in push up or twist container are readily available, I use them instead.

I think some people use Rx bottles. I just travel with sticks that have their own containers like Mike above.

Thanks. I just got my first Moos, but have some palmolive and arko sticks. I have picked up some oldy stick cases on the 'bay, but really just wanted them for display more than use. I have a travel tin for pucks, hoped someone made something similar for sticks. With as much shave soap sticks available, especially overseas, thought maybe some of our international bretheren might have knowledge of currently available holders.

Im a huge fan of shave sticks and usually just use a pill container, but as of late someone sent me a boots stick and you can reuse there container for palmolive, speick, erasmic sticks and maybe a few others I dont know about. I also believe you can reuse La toja's and lea's.
I carry mine in a leather hip holster, so it is always at the ready :tongue_sm

I keep mine in rinsed out bullion cube bottles.
Not as cool looking as many other options but it was what I had and they are pretty leak proof (for traveling with)

Buy a La Toja stick and when it is gone you can reuse the container it comes with for any shave stick.

actually, thats a good idea. Though of trying it with the Moos, but its kinda wide. Hevent look all that much at shaving sticks in general, but have a few Arko and Palmolive I received as freebies with orders here and there, and wanted to try to bring em on the road with me.

I'll keep my eyes open! Only ones I really found there were the old metal ones, and usually they aren't in very good shape (or bidding makes them crazy expensive for what they are). Thanks.

I am very fond of shave sticks for travel and most of the ones I use have their own container. I have thought of reusing the La Toja container but with so many sticks in rotation, it will be a while. TOBS shave sticks are very nice and have their own containers as well. For the ones that don't, I use Rx bottles.

You can really only use these if you grate your stick up, and while a lot of people are fans of doing that I dont like grating mine up. Also you can buy a couple la toja, lea and boots stick for pretty cheap and just pull the soap off of them to reuse at a different time then place what you would like in them for rotation. Rx bottles or bullion bottles seem to be a pretty cheap alternative though.

I smash the soap down into a used twist-up deodorant container. It's worked quite well so far.

It defends on the soap. If you're using a soft(ish) soap like Arko, it'll smoosh down into the container without any problem..no need to grate.

Anyone know if the Valobra shave stick fits in the La Toja tube/container?

Arko is too wide for the La Toja container. I just tried it. I bought a small brush from a vendor that came a container perfect for Arko.

Too small, sorry. La Toja is about 28-29 mm diameter, and the tube is not much larger. I keep my Valobra in a glass spice jar.

I think cella is a bit too pliable for a shave stick; it would probably just smoosh all over the place. Of course, only one way to find out :)
