In my first thirty days since buying a vintage razor, this is what I've acquired. (sorry about the lousy cell phone pictures, my camera ran out of batteries)

The Techs:

All bought in the wild. One seems to be an open-comb fat-handled tech? Can this be so? Or is it a Frankenrazor?

All of these are NEWs, except the far left which is a German? made Otto Roth, Gillette Patent Razor.

It seems you may have contracted a mutant strain of RAD. Are you experiencing any secondary symptoms such as the inability to drive past a second hand store.....anything like that?

Been there done that.................wait, I'm still doing that :a44:

Always looking forward to my next foray into the wilderness. I do think I'm going to put some of the razors on the BST for trade in soaps.

My good man, I think you have a severe case of RAD. I am sorry to inform you, there is no known cure. Many learn to live with this affliction for years, but for many, the use of a support group helps.

We at the brotherhood of the Open Comb, as part of our humanitarian outreach offer you this assistance. As part of your recovery process, please send all of your open comb razors to the brotherhood.

Remember, this is but the first step....we are here to help. :clown:

Unfortunatly, the only know cure for RAD is to rid yourself of everything related to wet shaving, go buy a cart razor & a can of goo. And some overpriced aftershave from a department store. I will of course volunteer to help, I'll PM you my address later, so you can start to rid yourself of this awfull disease.

Nice collection!

A very nice start.

Completely off topic, but do I see some Ranchus and Shukins in that tank?

Comets, I bought them to cycle my tank and SWMBO wouldn't let me get rid of them. I wanted cichlids but ended up with goldfish.....

Once you go wet shaving, there's no going back.

The only way to manage RAD is to have a woman on your case about it.

Mine says "Ok. They all look the same to me." But she does like the BBS shave!

When I see the look (more of an intense stare) with the silent treatment, I know not to go ahead with new purchases. Lol.

So....I just browsed a few antique malls this afternoon. Picked up a few new items.

http://badgerandblade.com/gallery/displayimage.php?imageid=34648?cache=1333329510

Fat Handled Tech. No brassing whatsoever. Came in a "Debutante" case, obviously mis-matched.

http://badgerandblade.com/gallery/displayimage.php?imageid=34644?cache=1333329630

Seemingly unused Travel Tech. Still has the paper "blade" insert.

http://badgerandblade.com/gallery/displayimage.php?imageid=34643?cache=1333329754

Red Tip Super Speed. Excellent condition and my first color-tip SS. Came cased in a red and clear SS case that doesn't really fit. Fits the 40's SS's perfectly.

Grand Turk Old Spice Mug.

Looks like the Heavy Handled Tech is actually an Early Tech with the Triangular slots. That makes me happy.
