So I ordered some MdC last week, and haven't received the torrent of e-mails like I've seen some people discuss.

My "Status Invoice" simply has a "-" underneath it.

Can anyone with some MdC ordering experience shed some light on their shipping process for me? I fear my order may have gotten lost, despite the charge going through on my credit card.

Or am I just being an impatient putz?

but if you are worried, contact them to confirm...i wouldn't be too worried yet.

from what i remember, mine showed frozen on a status for a while, then the next time i checked, it had landed in my country (canada) and the next day i was opening the parcel.

When did you order? I ordered mine Thursday night and it was at my door today. That is France to NY in 3 business days I guess. Where are you located?

March 20th (last Tuesday). And I live in Portland, OR.

Did they ever update your order status in those 3 days? I figure it's on the way and the website just hasn't updated anything.

I checked it once and it basically said nothing execpt shipped. If you ordered on Tuesday considering you are on the west coast I would assume tomorrow or Thursday.

Wow! Three days from France to New York is really fast! I placed an order from Italian Barber in Canada on Thursday but my order hasn't arrived yet. That's actually not a big surprise. I really didn't expect it to get here quite that quickly but three business days from overseas is... well... fast!

if you have cheap long distance, give them a call. not sure anyone speaks english:

It didn't say shipped. It said something like postal something or other. I just assumed it said shipped...
This is my first time getting it and it smells great! I keep opening the jar just to smell it. I know it is expensive, but it looks like a ton of soap!
They also sent me two bars of soap as samples. I need to figure out what they are because they also smell fantastic!

I get packages from abroad all the time. Let me tell you, 1 week is nothing. If it was 3 weeks, I could see being worried. But 5 business days for an international package? Hardly enough time to get concerned

mine was 8-9 day to my door in Canada, but depending on w/ends, holidays etc and how busy they are, i wouldn't get worried until the 2wk mark and even then, i wouldn't be too concerned.

I put in an order about two and a half days ago. As soon as I put in the order, it said "processing" on the website under my orders in my account. About 10 hours later, I received two emails in rapid succession, the first said "payment accepted" and the second said order confirmation. I just received another email 39 minutes ago stating "Preparation in progress - we are processing your order" and the website was updated at the same time to say "Preparation in progress" as well.

I'm sorry to say, I never saw anything like " - " you might want to shoot them an email to make sure everything is all right.

Once I subscribed to a service, paid, and started waiting. Never heard a word (so i thought) and I was all hot and angry. Stupidly, in my case, I had happily been emptying my junk mail folder without using what's left of my brain to check to see what I was blindly deleting. That's where all of their timely and informative communication had gone. My fault. Just a warning, it does happen!

I did receive all the emails but the one time I tried to track it it didn't say anything except postal something. I figured that meant shipped.

Just to give some more updates, about 4 hours after "Preparation in progress" I received another 3 emails all within 2 minutes of each other, pretty much stating that it was shipped and following it up with a tracking number. My account information also says the order has shipped, on their website.

9 days and I received it, great soap, great lather, so-so smell

I did two orders from them in the last three months -- i got a second travel size (that's how much I like this soap) -- and both orders arrived within a week, which is probably why shipping is so extraordinarily costly.

I love the smell.

they ship fast (air i believe), it is coming from across the pond, it's a big box with lots of padding (so it gets cubed by the postal carrier). i have no issues paying $20 for shipping a box that size from France to CAD or US and when it gets here that fast.

Nope. I can't even get a response via e-mail (not even their "contact us" form on the website).

I'm calling my credit card company today to dispute the charge. If it eventually shows up, I'll reinstate the payment, but I'm thoroughly discouraged.
