Helped my brother finish installing a fence and decided to skip a day of shaving. Now that's some sacrafice for a fence! I joined B&B the same day I first shaved with a DE safety razor. Since joining B&B I have only skipped two days of shaving. The first I was sick and today I was mending fences.

Funny that with cartridge shaving I would have to skip a day to heal occasionally. I always liked the shaving the day after the skipped day as it seemed to get a better shave. It's now dinner time and I don't want to shave tonight. Too discombobulating to not shave in the AM.

Nothing wrong with taking a day off, IMO. I still do it from time to time - and it seems to make my subsequent shaves (with two days' growth instead of one) a bit more comfortable. YMMV.

Sometimes when you are doing manly man kind of stuff it just has to be done with a day or two of stubble on your face.

I seldom skip a day due to stubble interfering with the CPAP mask I sleep with, but sometimes it happens. The next shave is not necessarily any more comfortable, but it is somehow much more satisfying. It's probably just a function of seeing more facial fur displacement than when I haven't missed a shave.

Shaving in the afternoon or evening doesn't seem that odd to me, as I became accustomed to needing a second shave if I was going out in the evening.

Lately I have come to think of shaves as being "utility shaves" or "Zen experience shaves". The utility shaves are the normal gotta get the hair off in the morning shaves, typically conducted in ten minutes or less. The Zen shaves are typically in the evening when I am seeking a calming experience or playing with new techniques or products. These can last a lot longer.

Sunday was a day off from shaving for me, just had so much going on first thing in the morning that I let it slide.

Today was awesome.

That extra day of growth and epidural regeneration made it that much more comfortable and close. I can't do a skip day M-F, because of work and I really enjoy my daily shave so missing a day is pretty rare. The next shave after a skip day is almost always the "shave of the week"

So... I shaved this morning after skipping a day:excl:
Sunday was fence mending and didn't get the chance to shave. This morning the stubble was THICK. I don't remember it being that thick.
The TECH gave me a great smooth, irritation free shave.

I'm the opposite, I normally shave at night, but last night I just could not. So this morning I shaved before work, and I threw off my week. I may not be able to get back on my normal routine until the weekend. I just can't see my face as ready for a shave the same night as a morning shave... I may try a two pass shave wtf and xtg and skip atg. This might get me a good enough shave to be presentable at work but allow for a night shave the same night.

. . although I am usually shaved by now when I am going to do so, I may still get it done. I do shave in the evening after dinner on the days I feel a need to shave (4-5 of 7 days). I have a newly acquired, unused razor I haven't tried yet . .

I find that I skip a day every week - one of the weekend days. Lazy???
