I'd imagine im not the only one seeing this message a lot when browsing the posts: "This forum requires that you wait 30 seconds between searches. Please try again in 10 seconds."
It's a prompt that pops up when youve clicked the 'new posts' search to quickly from the last time you clicked it, ie you click a post, read the one or two new entry's and then click the search again to see what you've still yet to read.
anyway to disable this or lower the time to 10 seconds or something?
Not to speak for the Site TECH, but the old hardware (FREON? it was cool:001_rolle ) was slow enough as to not do that I'd bet.

Due to this sites monster bandwidth - limiting the searches tones down bandwidth substantially... the easiest way to "get around" it is to "Open link in new window" so when you click the new posts button - you open the post you want to read in the "new window" you can read the post - then close the window and you will still have the "new posts" window open. This will allow you to not run into this message - whilst dramatically cutting bandwidth as well. I can talk to Nick and see how much additional bandwidth we would use by taking off that limiter - however a plethora of google/yahoo, etc slurp bots are on the site quite a bit - and with unlimited search capabilities - it might get a little overwhelming.
