I've seen threads for other service members/vets here, but in the time I've been here I can't recall one about Air Force folks. So how about it? List AFSC, rank, when served and where, and anything else you think is important. I'll start it off.

AFSC: 81150, Air/Security Policeman. I put both because I graduated from tech. school as an Air Policeman, and several months later it was changed to Security Policeman.

Rank: At discharge Sgt. E-4

Aug. 1966 - July 1970

Clark Air Base Philippines, SuWon Air Base Korea, Templehof Central Airport Berlin, Germany

Spent all service in Law Enforcement duties, except at SuWon Korea during the Pueble crisis where I worked security humping the flight line.

The 2 years spent in Berlin were without a doubt one of the best times of my life. I worked in the town patrol and traffic section where we worked as a team with the Army's Berlin Brigade M.P.'s. Berlin was a fantastic city, and the duty was some of the best in the Air Force.

Any other members who are Air Force please jump in. :thumbup1:

There was a thread like this a few months back, but I'll go again:

Served with the NY Air National Guard from 1963-1969
Training: Basic @ Lackland
Tech school @ Gunter AFB
Medical OJT @ Andrews AFB
Flight training @ Mcguire AFB
Not sure what AFSC was (might have been 90250-xxxx;medic-flight rated?) trained as a medic, for Air Evac duty.
Discharged as SSgt.

My Guard unit flew C-97's; cargo and air evac. The air evac flight was unique in that we were sometimes activated back into the regular Air Force to fly air evac missions (instead of going with the rest of the unit to "summer camp"). I flew air evac missions out of Rhinemain and Scott (the air evac hubs for Europe and the US). Had to maintain flight status throughout the time that I was in the Guard; a lot of time in the air and some of it a bit scary.

If there was a thread awhile back, I either missed it or forgot about it. Oh well I guess I'm getting up there in years so I hope I'm entitled. If there was such a thread gents, I do apologize. Gee, I may of even responded to it.

Security Police 1974-1978, E4, Minot Air Force Base the whole time except for basic and SP training at Lackland. Despite all of the bad things people say about Minot I actually enjoyed it there.
