Well mine was Saturday night. I was browsing through ebay Australia and I saw that someone had listed a Chopard Gran Turismo XL watch with a starting bid of $30 and a BIN of $50. I looked at it but because it looked too good to be true, I thought it was. I assumed it was a homage or an out right fake. I book marked it and dropped the seller a question asking if there was any chance it was genuine. Anyway next morning I got up and the watch was sold. I also had a note from the seller advising that they got the watch from their parents as a present and they didn't like it. The seller said that his father was a Doctor who had a few watches so there was no reason to suspect that the watch wasn't real. He said that he'd never heard of the brand so he just listed it cheap to get rid of it. The seller said that he had the box and all the original paper work, warranty card etc with it.
I think that on the balance of probabilities, it was genuine and I missed a great opportunity. The Chopard Gran Turismo XL sells for $3,500 to $5,000.

The ebay item number is 290685225213

Bugger. I can see why you were suspicious !!!!

Someone has made a tidy profit.

See if you can find out who it was, hope they don't know it's value, and offer to DOUBLE their money....

Even though you missed out, I still say it was better for you to be on the safe side. A $3500+ watch for $50 BIN? Err, yea...I wouldn't have gone for it, either. Live and learn; some lessons are more cruel than others.

Yep a few times but not that bad. :tongue_sm

Honestly I wouldn't have gone for it either because it seemed too good to be true.
