Haven't shaved with it yet, but I have heard many good things about it.

My question to you gents: does the fragrance remind you of Old Spice?

I opened up my new container and caught a pleasant whiff of something familiar. The next time I put on my Old Spice classic deodorant I thought "that's what I was smelling!!" But then I smelled the two side-by-side and noticed their not-too-subtle differences.

Still, when I smell the XXX alone I think of Old Spice. It's the weirdest thing!

Anyway, I think I know what aftershave I'll use after my first shave with the XXX :wink2:!

I am sorry but I do not think the two smell similar. I have Old Spice AS as well as the Old Spice type cream from QCS. Neither smell like XXX. Just my 0.02

I don't find the two similar at all, although I enjoy both.

when i smell AdP, i get a whiff of some shared notes with a classic smell, i just don't know enough about drugstore scents to make a firm connection.

When I smell Razorock XXX (I just received mine this week) I keep getting a cheap musk cologne smell. Like the cheap musk cologne you would see at Walmart around Christmas time.

I'm also the person who smells Musgo Real and think it is Old Spice repackaged.


It's funny to me how our noses can find different things.

XXX smells nothing like OS to my nose. Maybe your right and I'm wrong :taz:

They both have a scent, and that's about where the similarities end for me.

Yeah, again it's strange to me how it "reminds me of" Old Spice, yet side-by-side they're definitely different.
Anyway, I hope its shaves are as good as its scent, and from what I've heard it's amazing stuff.

Both have some citrus scent...but very different

picked up a jar from diesel on trade, and here it is repackaged in my empty QCS container (finished off one today).

i like the low profile, screw top better...remind me of the RR KL now.
