It's my Birthday. 58. Can I let you into a secret? It's not birthday's I hate at my age, it's birthday presents.
My son has bought me this
http://www.gentlemans-shop.com/acatalog/porcelain-soap-bowl.html#a94
OK, so it came Tax Free, but £15 for an expensive piece of junk.
I uses creams. I lather in a large capucino cup and leave the cup in the sink of hot water to keep warm. Whatever do I do with this silly little bowl? Its too small and too shallow to use as I use the big cup.
I tried the bowl sitting is the top of my capucino cup as a double shaving mug - a scuttle, but it's far too small for that. To make matters worse I have a large Kent brush, which is soft and fine for creams.
I suppose I could mill some soap into the wretched abowl and give it a whirl, but I live in a hard water area and creams are so much easier and nicer to use. I don't own any soaps.
Or do I melt in a glycerin soap and try a superlather? What glycerin soap should I buy on the European market?
Come on guys, tell me what to do with my expensive but utterly useless ceramic?
