Hey all,
I have a relative coming over from Leeds, England later this week for a week or so and he will be using my bathroom. So I was wondering what are the chances he knows of the English products on my shaving stand? TOBS, GFT, Truefitt & Hill, DR Harris.
Do most ordinary English men know of these companies?
I wonder if he knows them and will think I'm crazy or something having these brands when I've never been to England lol.

Unless he's into traditional grooming I suspect the chances of him having any of the brands, or indeed evening knowing about them, are likely to be zero
Those brands are not generally advertised and are only very occasionally featured in magazines etc and typically they're connected with some feature about vintage shaving, as opposed to promoting for use today.
I work about 5 minutes from Jermyn Street (Piccadilly)where most of these brands have shops. I only discovered them a couple of years ago through getting into DE Shaving and learning about them through here.
But who knows your cousin might surprise you yet!

I totally agree with Frosty above. I'd never heard of them until I found this forum a few years ago.

I don't know know about your cousin, cluelessdude, but I seriously doubt ordinary English men would know of these companies.

Too right. Here in the UK the Gillette displays in say Sainsburys are huge. Everyone else get tiny dispalys.
However a couple of the tucked away small chemists around my area do still stock a few of the more traditional stuff. Erasmic,Ingrams, Pashana and I'm sure GFT smellies.
