Limes. Delicious limes.
Seriously, what else can be said about how it smells? It smells like real limes - no synthetic smell here.
It smells better than T&H's West Indian Limes, in my opinion, and only its incredibly short longevity keep me from ordering a full bottle.
Lime notes, as with all citrus notes, are fleeting, which is why perfumiers use it as a top note as a precursor to the rest of a fragrance. This cologne won't last much more than an half an hour on you.
My lime frag choice is WIL by Crabtree and Evelyn. It has heartnotes and basenotes that increase its longevity. If they could make it last even 4 hours, GFT Limes would be my favourite summer frag.

It's smells fantastic for oh, let's say a good long 20-30 minutes.
I love it, but consider it tantamount to throwing $70 out the window of a speeding car.
Hey, YMMV as we say, but the longevity SUCKS BIG time... IMHO.

thats the problem with lime frags, they dont last.
which sucks because i love the scent.
Mama Bears offers a MUCH cheaper alternative.

Got some Crown Spiced Limes on my shirt collar today and it is still going nicely. A little more soapy, but the lime and basil notes are fluttering in there slightly. It is one of my favorite fragrances, and definitely top 3 warm weather.

You should look into TOBS #74 Lime, it is good stuff

Mmmmmmm.......GFT Extract of West Indian Li.....*poof!*
Wait! Where did it go? It was there, and then.....!
Seriously, that's what this cologne is like. Bright and juicy lime with a floral trail for like 10 minutes and then GONE. Is that short term bliss worth $70?

Hell, it was more like 20-30 seconds on me :( Love the scent, though.

In terms of price and longevity, yes. It's about 50% cheaper and lasts about 4-5 hours. Very "juicy" lime with prominent florals. Actually quite close the the GFT lime cream, in fact.

Havent tried that one, so couldn't say. I like lime too, but be aware almost all citrus scents are very short lived. Something to do with fragrance molecules and I'd be I over my head trying to explain the science of it.

I think your best bet is to buy a lime, rough up the skin a bit to release the oils and keep it in your shirt pocket for the day...

I have some of this on the way. Will compare it to the Castle Forbes.
The TOBS Victorian Limes is really nice, but much more than just lime, has prominent fuscia/rose and leather notes, and the lime note really smells like lemon oil furniture polish, not lime juice. Still terrific stuff. Caswell Massey and Royall are both good lime colognes as well, which smell more juicy than the TOBS.

Just get Pinaud Citrus Musk. The future lies before you.

I agree. Among other things, its staying power tends to be more than the typical lime cologne.

Stylin' is lyin'!!! I only get 15 mins. hehehe
Seriously, it smells amazing. One of my all-time favorite. But it is so fleeting.
If you really need lime, get Taylor's. It's still fleeting, but it's cheaper.

The GFT is the best scent IMO of the bunch. (TOBS, GFT, CF) I agree it is fleeting, but is does smell wonderful. Much better than the other 2.
