I've been using Col. Conk Almond in almost every lather, whether I face lather or mix and match with some different creams. I wanted to start trying some new almonds though, so I ask, What are your favorite almond scented soaps?

The Italians..... Cella, Vitos, Valobra, P.160. These are all almond scented.

If you want something a little different I'd suggest D.R. Harris Almond or Trumper's Almond shaving soaps, they both have unique scents unlike their respective shaving creams, which have the typical marzipan/bakery scent.

The Italian range for sure. Harris Almond is pleasant enough but very mild. Nothing like the Italians.

If you like the smell of Col Conk Almond stay away from DR Harris. Harris is a great soap and I love it but it does not smell like Col Conk or any sweet almond. It smells more like quinine or a bitter almond, but it is a great lathering soap. YMMV

Jay is right, the Harris Almond Soap is an Eau de Quinine scent and a great one at that. Light, sure, but it's there. I have never tried any of the Conk soaps so I don't know what the scent is, but if it is the sweet or marzipan almond scent in the Italian fashion, then I would definitely go with Cella, or another Italian one that catches your eye.

If you want a shave soap/cream that smells like almond try Dovo Shaving Cream which is an Italian soft soap.

One of the flavors is almond and yes it does smell like almond.

As for CELLA, it smells like cherries to me.

DR Harris Almond is definitely different than all of the above. It is completely mild. But I like it.

From the consensus I might go for some Cella. I've heard some awesome things about their soaps anyway. Thanks for all the input!

Trumper almond soap

My roommate has a sample of the Trumper Almond Cream, gonna give it a try tomorrow see how I like the scent.

Has anyone come across a cream that they liked, but disliked the brand's soap (or vice versa)? So, for example, Liked Trumper Almond Cream, Disliked Trumper Almond Soap (or the other way around).

I recommend Cella or TOBS Almond. Both smell, IMO, just like the tasty nut!

I love almond scented soaps. Cella is number 1 so far. Acca Kappa second. Trumpers and Truefitt and Hill both smell good but not as strong or distinct as the italian varieties. I have P160 but haven't used it yet. It has a very interesting scent too. Of the ones I tried, Cella lasts the longest, Acca Kappa second...Trumpers and T&H disappear during lathering....we will see about p160.

I'm thinking about trying vitos red, valobra, figaro and Razorock classic, razorock cacao...the two razorocks are behind the italians tho.

however, of the ones I'm thinking about trying, I'm not sure which one just doesn't smell good but is the best at you know....shaving!
