Had my first d/e shave with amazing sucess! That first scrape was a little scary at first but i remember all the advice you great people have given to other newbies about blade angle and and having a light touch. A couple of small nicks but it is the closest shave of my life.
I only wanted to do a 3 pass shave, i didnt want to go ATG since it was my first time, but my EJ 89I told me to go for the gusto and i went for it, it was awesome!
at 29 years old i finally feel like a man!

Great job! Great feeling eh? I had the same...though I know a year from now my inner self will be telling me "you're not a man if you don't try a straight". Just like right now it's telling me "you're not a man if you try the R41".

It doesn't make you a man, it just makes you a comfortably shaven one. Congratulations.
