Hi guys,

Looking for a few companion razors to my EJ89, 1st choice is my birth Year razor but before I start looking want to get opinions on the quality and shave it produces.

I want to use it in rotation and not just put away.

Thanks in advance

ive tried the adjustables and prefer the super speed to them.ive sold all my adj.'s and dont want them in my rotation.the super speed is a good all round shaver and works well with all the blades i use.of course this is just my thoughts.

Non adjustable is an option for sure....anyone else have luck/comments with the black handled 74 razors?

I used a Super Adjustable from about then, for ten years or so, and put it away. Now, when I wanted to turn my back on the likes of the Mach3 and whatever came after that one, I have turned up two slims and the black, but cannot recall at all why a particular slim became the regular "trim" razor (it never seemed to me that multi-bladed razors, all the way back to TracIIs, had good handling for keeping sideburn creep from happening, so I never put that last DE away, and always meant to look for a new (to me) SE razor that might be even better with the bottom edge of sideburns.

I'm going to clean all three up, maybe even see about a photo, and try the other two. Maybe the reason I have so many is I'd dropped a couple of them, and have forgotten that, but chose to hold onto the misaligned ones anyway. My memory for small stuff that long ago is not that good any more. I used Atras and Excels, and with the latter, often shaved totally by feel in the shower. I'm pretty sure I never tried that with any DE (my very oldest that I used much at all had disappeared in the 50s or early 60s).

I like the Super Adjustable and 40's and 50's Super Speeds. Smooth razors for me.

I like the Super Adjustable and 40's and 50's Super Speeds. Smooth razors for me.

I was looking at those as well...heck I also want a slim and fatboy...my mind is all over the place and trying to narrow down my next purchase.

I think I need to slow down and concentrate on finding the right blade first for my razor.

I don't want to buy razors and have them sitting around, I like to use them in rotation

Cant go wrong with the regular super speed.....or the red tip, or any of them really.

Why not get all of the above and then some? :001_rolle :quickdrawI myself have bad rad. One has now lead me to many. Between that and shaving accessories, so much in fact, that I have a lifetime supply of. :001_tt1:
