I dont know how I ever got into wet shaving but I sure am glad I did, although I never imagined how much money I would gladly dish out for this new dare I say hobby.
Addicted I have already become, been at it for less than a month and the folks at The British Isles (local store) already know me by name.
so far ive got:
Merkur 34c HD (Derby blades)
Truefitt and Hill 1805 cream
Truefitt and Hill Pre shave oil
Havent decided on an aftershave currently I just know I prefer balms
Crowley and Tosh Best Badger
Glad to be here look forward to all the information.

I am a newbie from the Houston area as well (only two shaves under my belt and signed up the other day). I have heard about The British Isles, but I have yet to make it over there. I will definitely be making it over there sometime fairly soon. Based off their website, the store sounds awesome.

Welcome aboard, great to have another member. Time to get some vintage Gillettes in that collection!

'Sup neighbors. British Isles is where it's at. Kuhl-Linscombe on West Alabama by Whole Foods has some nice things too (including the entire musgo real line, and Acqua di Parma)

Welcome to B&B.
I miss Houston, interesting place to live. You tried a blade sampler pack yet? Shame I didn't wet shave back then, otherwise could have looked at British Isles (although now I live in Britain so...)
Anyways enjoy your shave.

Welcome! You made some fantastic purchase decisions. 1805 is a great performer and fragrance. + 1 on getting a blade sampler. PM me and I'll send you a few premium blades. Merkur blades scare me!
