Based on the recommendations from the forum and my fondness for a small brush, I got one of these. I had been using a very cheap (and big) boar brush for many months...Man, what a difference. So thanks for all of the info that went into my decision...My affection for this little brush is already quite startling...I had no idea it would make such a difference.

Personally, the two you mention above 'felt' very similar in size when in actual use for me. YMMV and all that, but just FYI. Best of luck :)

I was going to say the same thing - 2mm isn't going to make much of a difference in terms of performance or feel. You might want to step down to a 20 or 18mm brush.

yeah, I agree.
I have both a 3824 and a 3320 and there is a definite difference between those 2.

I love that 20mm knot.

I could post a side by side pic of the 24 and 20 knots if you wish to see them.

I don't have a 22mm knot, but I would assume it would "feel" a lot closer tothe 24 than the 20.

Nice picture - its worth noting that the smaller knot is both smaller AND shorter.

As an aside, I think my "dream brush" would be the SR 20mm knot in the 3824 handle.

That was my thinking process in regards to the 24MM & 22MM but not going far enough.
