So, I am relatively new to DE, SE; INJ shaving. I am not an overly hairy person and often find razors are overly aggressive for me. My husband recently gave me, at least I hope he gave it to me because either way it's mine now:001_tt2:, a Schick Inj with dial settings. (He has two so he really shouldn't mind me claiming it right?) I tried it on a 1 today and it was PERFECT! I got a great shave and little to no irritation which even cartridge razors were prone to giving me. It was easy to use and while I will show it proper respect it felt over all very comfortable (which means I didn't fear cutting the tendon on the back of my knee in two). I still found my non adjustable Schick great for my underarms though I suppose I could have merely upped the dial for that tricky area. Anyway, if he does want it back I am going to have to go shopping because I officially love this razor! I wonder if my daughter wants two Lady Gillettes?? :confused1 :001_smile Okay so maybe I'll hold on to it for a while longer but I seriously LOVE this razor.

Congrats on finding a razor that's perfect for you. I used to use an old Schick injector, but I really love using a DE now, so I haven't used it in well over a year.

I've always been curious about a woman's shaving prep. Do you use pre-shave oil, Proraso, and aftershave like the rest of us, or is it much simpler than that? My wife uses a vibrating multi-blade cart and soap, I think.

My G injector is my go-to razor. With a Chinese Schick blade it's hard to beat.

I usually just let my legs soften a little in a hot bath, not too long though or it has the opposite effect. A good lather and the right razor and some lotion after and I am usually good. My daughter has coarser leg hair, like her father-in terms of course hair- not HIS leg hair LOL, and I've wondered if there are steps we can add that will give her a better/easier shave but I haven't thought of any to suggest yet. I wonder if a pre-shave oil would help her? As for my set up: I use a Schick Injector with dial adjuster, Godrej shave cream- I like the smell and it isn't perfumy and I am allergic to most perfume so that's good and I use a badger hair brush. Works well for me. A little Lubriderm or comparable heavy moisture lotion- I have dry skin and I'm ready to go. Fairly simple for me but I am going to guess it varies from person to person. As for after shave if there is a product like that for women, I am unaware of it.

I purchased some institut Karite and really like it for an aftershave moisturizer. Why I like it so much is the lack of fragrance, so I can use any cologne with it and there isn't a battle. I have sensitive skin and really particular about the lotions and balms I use. A pea size drop work

Where do you find Karite? I am not familiar with it.

Look here. (http://www.westcoastshaving.com/Institut-Karite-Moisutrizing-After-Shave-Balm_p_148.html) I think that is the product the post refers to.
