Title is self explanatory how does the Canadian Versiion compare to our version. Is it any better?

I thought it was the same? Best way would be to compare the ingredients...

I did not see any difference between the two. As far as I recall they used the same formula.

Thank you. I was curious if it was the same formula with just a different box. I must say i think the Canadian box looks nicer.

I had a puck of Williams given to me while in Australia (so it's not the Canadian version if it exists) and on the box I have:

Williams mug shaving soap

Combe Incorporated. Dist. White Plains, NY 10604
Williams®, Mug®, Aqua Velva®, the Design and the Slogan are trademarks of J.B. Williams
Company. Inc. used under license.

If I see one in a store (Canadian) I will try to have a look and check that information.

Back from the local pharmacy (Canada) and the only difference that I can see is the packaging is in French and English where the other one is in English only. Other than that, same information. I would then conclude it's the same.

Yep thats what i thought so I saved my money. The Canadian box I think looks more sophisticated than it American counterpart.

That is what I have heard as well. However, one of the South American countries evidently still produce the old formula as a stick. I don't have a link to the thread handy and I don't remember what country offhand but I do remember that the poster was very satisfied with his South American Williams shave stick.

Are you sure that was not South Africa? I have seen blue "Williams holder top" sticks and refills from A.J. North Ltd, who also seem to hold a license for Culmak in SA. But I think the sticks may be discontinued, now. In any case I have not found a way to obtain a sample in the USA, and the AJ North web site always seems to be down.

That is possible. Before Christmas we had several threads about products from both countries so I could have mixed them up.
