Have any members completely taken apart a Fat Boy. I have one that cleaned up very well but could even be better if it was taken apart so that I can get under the head assembly better. I have seen the different documents and you tubes on this but am leery about doing it.
Is it difficult? Especially putting it back together?

I have completely stripped my threaded collet specimen (has the two cut-outs in the bottom cap), but not the crimp-collet. The crimp is not a problem, if you have small pliers to re-crimp after pressing. Some folks have used a spent .223 casing as a press, but you can also buy a small section of brass tubing from Hobby Lobby or Ace Hardware.
Honestly, I used a double-boiler pot (suspends the razor in the water) with detergent and a 20 minute cook, followed by dish soap scrub to clean mine. If its really grungy, coarse/heavy duty pipe cleaners will get in there. This was the threaded collet model that I later disassembled. My FB was pristine inside, so I'm fairly confident in the cook-n-scrub method for complete cleaning.:closedeye

I do the same with all my razors. I "cook" them for ten minutes, then scrub bubbles 2x, then ultrasonic for 5-6 ', followed by disinfectant, polish and then one more time in ultrasonic to remove any last traces of unbuffed polish. Problem is with the Fat Boy, I just can't seem to get down behind the head deep enough. If taken apart, I could get down there even better. With Pipe cleaners and q tips, I just can't get enough rubbing power.
