Five of them, actually.
Are they so bad I shouldn't use them?
Do they need to be honed?
Can you tell I'm a newbie? A virgin newbie.
If I need to start over, what's a reasonably priced choice?
I just never want to have to by another razor blade.

Welcome to B&B. So you do not want to buy another razor blade? Do you mean DE blades or cartiges? If you are looking to get away from the replacement cartriges, then maybe you should consider a nice EJ 89 and some astra blades.

If you are are wanting to jump right into straight razors, then i would suggest contacting Larry at Whippeddog.com.

Either way, I am sorry to say I know nothing about those Krystal Edge. Ummm, why did you buy 5?

I'm stuck as well. I'm not sure what a Krystal edge is. Is this a safety style razor in the style of an autostrop or a Rolls, or is this a straight style?

Woah, sorry, I didn't realize there were all these responses, cuz a B&B member already helped me out big time.

Thanks for the welcomes!

The Krystal Edge is a brand of straight razor from Krystal Products (http://www.krystalkut.com/id291.htm). Someone on Ebay offered five brand new ones with a brand new strop for $45, so naturally I thought it can't be too good to be true and got'm. No indication of where they're made.
