Since picking up a tub of their Signature cream about two weeks ago I haven't used anything else. Great scent, lathers easily. Not much not to like.

Wait til you try their other products, every one of them is great. The only product I don't like is their aftershave, but that is because I prefer a splash.

I've used mine for a couple of days now, I have the Signature shaving cream.

I found it less than optimal used as a regular shaving cream, were you put a dollop in your bowl and whip up a nice lather by adding a fair bit of water. While it built a very fine lather, it lacked glide and just didn't feel right.

Now what worked for me was using quite a bit more cream in the bowl, shake out the brush pretty good, and just adding a very few drops of water and not really trying to build a traditional water, most of the lather now stayed in the brush, and had a thick butterlike texture. At this consistency it delivered very good glide and my face felt great after. Love the scent btw.

So for me it worked best used closer to it's intended use aka brushless.

The ASB was ok, I prefer splashes as well.

I heard it's best used for face lathering...

Great stuff, I have both the Signature and the Replenishing in rotation. Overall my favorite creams, gives great cushion and glide. The Replenishing also leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized.

Wow, it was simply amazing. Had my first shave with the Signature today. Face lathered for the first time too (have been bowl lathering otherwise). Worked great. Had great looking lather leftover. Smell is great when applied to the face.

Nancy Boy Creams are amazing. The shaving creams are top notch and a must try. Also, I find that Nancy Boy requires more raw product to get a good lather thank TOBS, Trumper, etc. Perhaps this is because it is advertised as brushless? In any event, these two are simply amazing performers. I use either my Shavemac D03 with my scuttle when home or my Tweezerman and a bowl when travelling. Superb performer.

Yep I took into account the comments I've heard here about people saying it requires more product. So I used quite a bit of product and got pretty good lather I'd say.

For what it's worth, I don't think it takes more product to get a good lather. Works just great, one of my favorite creams.

Nancy Boy should do a lime scent. I don't know why but I get this feeling if they did, they would perfect it.

For you real Nancy lovers (at least of the signature scent) grab yourself a pick of Mamabears Clear Skies soap and super lather the two. Holy Schnikies.

Hey guys,
Nancy boy shave cream is now parabens free. Has anyone used these products? Can you guys compare these products to the TOBS Jermyn Street?

@ tomantex...yes they are good and yes they are as good if not better then TOBS (but it's a YMMW thing).

i have the 2 original ones (signature & replenishing) and plan to order the full tubs soon, especially now that they are paraben free (if that concerns you or anyone).

heck, i had no idea what parabens were before starting wet shaving.

Agreed, I dip the tips of my brush into the cream and that's all I need.

YMMV you know, personally I didn't like the performance that much treating it like a normal cream.

You know it's probably water differences playing a role. I don't know the exact quality of my water, but it seems to work for this cream. Other soaps and creams people rave about are just average for me, so it is a YMMV.

i'm sure it's coming, but it just came out yesterday.

i want to order all 3 so bad, but i have so many freaking soaps on the go right now and more coming (TFS group buy, LaToja in wood bowl) and now i want to order MdC unscented just to try it compared to my Scented. :w00t:

I just had my first shave with NB signature scent. The lather mixed up differently than other creams I've used. It seemed to take a little more time to start to develop. However, just when I was going add some more water or cream it whipped right up. This stuff is SLICK. Gave me a great irritation free and close shave. I used the pre shave oil and aftershave gel too fwiw. Loved all of it. The scent isn't totally for me, but it's nice.

This is the greatest cream ever made. It is also the most expensive. It takes a lot of product and little water to make this reach its potential. But if you're not a cheapskate, and willing to pretend like you're a millionaire, this cream is amazing.

really? 170g for $15 ain't that bad.

even if you need 2x as much as normal creams, it still puts it cheaper then T&H, CF & AdP (all creams)

Actually, after careful consideration, I have to go on record as saying the new Nancy Boy formulation is even better than the old, and may knock TOBS Rose out of my top spot.

I'd meant to give their blossomwood shaving cream a try after enjoying their Signature very much during the summer, and to my luck, I was ordering a few other items from NB a week ago (body spray, candle and facial moisturizer) and as a freebie, they threw in their travel-sized 2 oz tub of blossomwood- awesome! I'll definitely have to give it a try this weekend!

I started out by ordering two travel size tubs, finished both of those and ordered two full size tubs. They will both be finished by the time summer gets here and I will order another two or possibly three tubs because they have added a new scent since my last order. I have also ordered bar soaps, skin toner, face wash, moisturizer and shower gel. As has been said in other posts, everything they do is top notch.

Interesting. I went through a tub of their signature scent, and I liked the efficacy, but wasn't crazy about the scent (which is strange, because I really like lavender and I really like peppermint, just not the two combined). What do folks think of the Blossomwood scent? Inquiring minds want to know!

What stinks is the shipping cost. The website quotes $18/170gm plus $7.50 shipping!

WOW...shipping to canada must be cheaper then US then. i just added a full tub to my cart (using the club pricing of $15.30) and shipping was only $4.90 and if i order 3 tubs (full size), shipping is $8.30 to canada.

That does surprise me. The shipping rates quoted on the site for the US is $7.50 for items under $75, free if over $75. It's a psychological thing for me. $25.50 total cost isn't bad for a great cream, it's just how they get it. I would be much more willing to buy it if the cream cost $22 and shipping was $3.50. Stupid but true....at least for me.
