I’m happy to report that the I’ve been getting positive feedback on the samples I sent out last week: I still have lily-of-the-valley (muguet), rose and sandalwood rose, Marrakesh, coconut, coconut almond and mint with menthol in two different concentrations to give out. I have three new scents as well: lime/vetiver, lime/tangerine/vetiver and lime/lavender. If you are an experienced wet shaver, interested in being a tester for an Italian-style soft soap made with tallow and shea butter, please pm me and let me know which you consider yourself to be a good judge of. I will accommodate everyone I can - I only ask that you give me thoughtful feedback regarding the quality of shave you get with it, lathering technique used, if you liked the scent and if it was strong enough/too strong/just right, and how your face felt after the shave.
I’m preparing a small website especially for the shaving soap and some other products that are frequently discussed on the forum: shampoo bars, hair oil, dusting powder, balms for dry skin, etc. I’ll list a few of my soaps, mostly the ones I call my “serious soaps”: no fragrance oils or dyes, only essential oils with clays, herbs, honey, and the oils themselves for color. If you are interested, I hope you’ll contact me about the shaving soap samples and check back occasionally to see what’s new.
