Well this took a lot longer than expected, but I finaly finished my first brush. Bolivian Rosewood handle and a TGN 20mm Silvertip. Still waiting for the epoxy to cure before blooming. This was a real effort without using a lathe, so I doubt I do another anytime soon. Spar varnish was the finish, it turned out OK, but I think Rudy Vey is safe for now.:wink2: Thanks for looking.

1" belt sander, files, and lots of sandpaper.

Great job! Without a lathe, you did a great job getting good roundness. Congrats!

Wow. This is an amazing brush! The wood is gorgeous, the lines are bold but smooth, and there's both a strength and a sensuousness about it's subtle curves. I think this is one of the best brush designs I've seen, at least to my sensibilities. The fact that you did this without a lathe just raises the artfulness of it even higher. Very well done, sir!

I love the wood! I also found that a belt sander makes an acceptable substitute for a lathe.
