I went out on my first DE hunt at a local antique shop. I bought 10 razors for $25 so I think I got a pretty darn good deal. They are all in very nice condition. I have 8 of them pictured below.
From left to right here is what I think I have
50s Superspeed blue tip
50s Superspeed
Gillette travel tech?
60s Superspeed
48 or 49 Superspeed
50 Superspeed
Slim
Black metal handled slim with code P 2. Is this a black beauty?
Not pictured is another blue tip superspeed and another 50s superspeed.

Yes all from the same place. I only bought about a fourth of what they had. I may go back and try to see what else is worth picking up.

Congrats on the haul, you got every one of them for chicken feed!
Now to obsessively compare the shave between nearly identical non-adjustable Gillette TTO heads... :w00t:

Thanks guys. Did I identify them correctly? I wasn't sure if the last one is what they call a black beauty or not. It has a metal handle not plastic.

Where did you go? I have been looking for a SA for some time. I have been a bunch of places in town, and most are so over priced. My best finds have been antique fairs.
Haven't seen you around here before, welcome to B&B.

wow I would be lucky to find one razor at my local stores and it would probably cost me 25 bucks! That is a fantastic haul.

All the Super Adjustables had a metal handle which had a resin finish. The last years of production also had a plastic adjuster tang.
Some call any SA a Black Beauty, others reserve that title for the long-handled version. Still others limit it to the long-handle with the plastic tang.
They're all beautiful razors, and all have black handles. IMHO they all qualify!!

Nice, careful you will wind up with more than you know what to do with:biggrin1: Looks to me like 2 of your flare tip super speeds are red? They made 3 versions of that razor Light=Blue tip Normal=No color on the tip Red=Heavy. You may already now that , just thought i would throw that out there because the Red tips are becoming very popular.
