Blades in Feather DE

Hi All,

All this while, I've blindly loaded my feather with feather blades. While these are great, I haven't asked the question, are any other blades that might be better?

Iridiums I thought were a very close second followed by Personna Meds.

This is something that you're going to have to find out for yourself, as no too shavers are really alike.

Best to get a blade sampler pack and go to it.

Yes the answer is it depends, different skin types react differently to different blades. I like the feather in my slant but not at all in my slim adjustable. I don't have a Feather razor though, so i can't help you out there. But many vendors have samplers, so you can try a bunch.

I Love those feather blades, but they only give me 2 good , 3 pass shave's . Im going to try an astra blade Tommorow and see how it goes, I'll be back to report how it goes :o)

Yea, then at least you will know you tried them! You very well may decide that Feathers are for you, and there are some vendors like DrIdiot who can give you very good deals on them, so they are not that much more expensive than other top end blades. My only issue is per shave cost as they do not last as long as others, they live a short and glorious life, then burn out quickly.

If we're talking about the Feather All Stainless, I think Feather blades are better than anything else in it. They almost seem made for each other. I like Feather blades in the AS-D1 more than in any other razor I own.

In the end, I bought a 100 pack of feathers from dridiot for such a crazy price. Just gotta wait to get here.

In the end, I bought a 100 pack of feathers from dridiot for such a crazy price. Just gotta wait to get here.
Good move.....Feathers cost me about $20 to $30 extra a year. If consider it a small price for getting the best results.

Ok Reporting back as promised, Today i Tried an Astra SP in the Feather AS D-1 Razor, I did just one Pass WTG, and let me tell you it was like ice skating on my face, it was a nice one pass WTG , I was in a Hurry so i just did a one pass to get me thru a Saturday Meeting, Astra SP worked great for me, if i tamed the Feather Blade Just Imagine what it did to the Astra SP, It made it turn into a Sissy LOL I was Shaving with NO Fear what so ever not one Nick, not one Weaper and Zero Irritaion. Nice That Feather AS-D1 must of been Designed by a Terrorist, Because its the BOMB :lol:
