Can receive them, just can't send them......

Tried multiple computers, clearing cache, power on/power off, clearing history, etc etc..

As soon as I hit the "Send a PM button" I get an error message, to wit:

The website cannot display the page
HTTP 500
Most likely causes:
•The website is under maintenance.
•The website has a programming error.

What you can try:
Refresh the page.

Go back to the previous page.

Tim-Please try to send me a PM to see if it's actually getting through, despite the message you're getting.

Tim-Please try to send me a PM to see if it's actually getting through, despite the message you're getting.

i work with tim and am typing this on his behalf. because right now, he can't even REPLY to a thread...the "typing" portion goes all grey and is not able to type.

he's tried, CHROME, IE and FIREFOX....they all work for me on this PC, but not him.

perhaps a MOD or IT guy can create and merge a new account for him, so he doesn't loose his status, screen name, posts etc as his account seems Whacked :bored:

as for the "send me a PM" that i'm quoting, he doesn't get the chance to even type. as soon as he hits SEND A PM, it goes to an error browser error screen (see above for wording on error) and he is not able to send a single thing...trust me, i've tried.

it is his account, as one night i did a test, he let me log in to his account, i tried sending a PM from my home PC, where i have no problems with my account, and it gave me the same error he is getting now (what a loser :001_tongu)...he told me to put that.

so for right now, he can see this thread, read it, but can't reply (yes, he has been logged in when trying).

odd, very odd.

My computer at work (Windows7, IE9) does the same thing - grey boxes, can't type. Please don't fix it - I need to get some work done. But would you share what was done to help Tim?

What was done to help Tim should have resolved your issue, too. Please let us know if you still have the problem tomorrow.

Bruce and Tim work together. A little bit of good natured co-worker chain yanking going on :a30:

Actually - This sounds more like a problem with the theme. It doesn't play nice with the new text editor in VB. We're working (hard) on a replacement theme, which should fix your issue.

I know...I was pulling Bruces chain, acting like I had him on the ignore list

I've still got grey boxes at work, and I can't type a response to a thread.

But seriously, it would really help my career if you didn't fix it!

I am having the same problem on my Kindle Fire. Will the replacement theme take care of that?
