Hi Everyone,

Thanks to everyone who entered our last competition. I had great fun looking over all the amazing photos. Hope to do the same next year.

This contest/ giveaway is for all you guys who have sensitive skin. Like myself I struggled for years with pretty bad skin problems. If my skin wasn't too dry after cleansing it was either like a oil slick. Our soaps are made with 100% natural ingredients and we don't use any harsh chemicals, petrochemicals or parabens. Basically our products help to keep the skin cleansed without drying out. It is not a guaranteed acne free skin in 30 days sort of thing although you will notice the difference after your first shave. We just offer simple products made from traditional recipes, using only the finest natural ingredients. All our products are handmade in Ireland so you know your getting high quality products.
We also love keeping our packaging vintage like many of the other quality products on this site.

We are giving away 5 medicinal packs for men so that some lucky guys can try out our skin friendly products.

To win a pack we would like to hear why you have the most sensitive skin in the world or alternatively why you want a moisturising shave.
The competition will end on the 31st of January. Good luck

Thanks Gents and thank you for all your comments and warm welcome to the site.
To purchase our products you can visit www.thehandmadesoapcompany.ie (http://www.thehandmadesoapcompany.ie) or www.classicshaving.com (http://www.classicshaving.com)

Thanks for such a great offer and I would love to jump in!
I wouldn't say I have the most sensitive skin in the world, but I do have mixed skin type with very oily T-zone and very dry area around my mouth. I would like to try your sensitive skin soaps because no matter what soap I use, my skin gets flaky around my lips but still suffer from acne in the oily area. I would love to try Witch Hazel and Carbolic soap to see if I can take care of my skin better :biggrin1:

I haven't washed my face or taken a shower in over 15 years without my skin flaking afterwards. I have to oil up with either baby oil or coconut oil every time. Would love for a soap to work. And I take fish oil daily, drink plenty of water, have a water softener, and have a humidifier so, yes, I've tried everything.

The biggest challenge I have with my skin is that I travel quite a bit (180k miles in 2011) and the constant climate change, hot to cold, dry to humid, etc., seems to cause problems. Probably doesn't help that I'm using hotel soap and shampoo..

oily, dry, red...i got it all. i can't use any aftershaves with alcohol, so that limits what i can use in that department. any more then 3 passes and my face get's irritated, so i'm lucky to get a BBS every now and then.

DE shaving has opened me up to a whole new world or products for my skin, from shampoo bars, to WH, to quality aftershaves, quality soaps and creams. i've been experimenting using Glycering shave soaps as body soaps and/or shampoo bars for complete body care and they seem to be working out great.

i have a PIF of the shave soap coming (hasn't arrived yet), but would love the opportunity to try out these products and put them to the test.

the packaging looks awesome and WH seems to do my skin good, so would love to see how it reacts to a WH soap.

as for the "moisture shave"...it doesn't get any better then a nice, refreshing, moisturizing shave...when complete and you feel like you don't even need to put on any A/S, but do anyway.

thanks for the opportunity.

My face isn't so much oily but it definitely gets dry and red. I still haven't been able to find a soap that doesn't dry my face out. There have more times than I can count that I have had to put on multiple "coats" of lotion on my non-shave days. On the days I do shave, it seems like my face starts out as dry as a lot of guys faces end up, so by the end of my shave my face is dry and flaky.

I would love to try out all three of these soaps. Thanks for a great contest!

Oh, and Erin Go Bragh!

My face has a tendancy to break out very easily. It's hard to find something new that doesnt break it out. I'd like to try some shaving soaps but I dont really want to order something only to find I cant use it.

I have very dry skin if I don't keep on it, usually with olive oil soap. I have to echo what brucered says about a moisturizing shave, it's just the icing on the cake, if you will.

Up until a few years ago, I never really noticed how sensitive my skin is. I'm only 17, so am still having a bit of a struggle with acne. Luckily, I've been able to clear most of it up (making the switch to DE shaving has made a tremendous difference), and now only get the odd breakout. My 3 main issues with my skin right now are dryness, redness, and ingrown hairs. The ingrown hairs are getting better thanks to improving prep and technique, but I still haven't found a solution for my dryness and redness. The cold Canadian winter probably doesn't help (today was -40C with the wind chill!). Taking up wetshaving has really opened my eyes to the vast array of skincare products, and for the past couple weeks I've been trying to find a good cleanser and pre-shave soap. Nothing has worked so far; most products leave my face tight and bright red, or my skin starts flaking a couple minutes after application. I've been trying to pick up as many samples as I can to find a viable solution, and hope that I find one before winter's end!

By the way, just wanted to say that I love the aesthetic of your products!

I`d like to participate as I have scalp psoriasis as well as guttata psoriasis.

Lately the scalp ps. has spread across my face and is spreading form my ears towards my nose, so I definitely need some quality stuff to keep it at bay.

Thanks for the contest!

I just started running again after many years off and of course I decided to get back into it in winter. I want a moisturizing shave to keep my skin from being dried out and becoming ultra sensitive.

I have keratosis pilaris in varying degrees on my arms and legs. While it is nothing but cosmetic it can be embarrassing at times. My skin tends to do better when moisturized and I have been experimenting with handmade soaps vs popular body washes. Thanks for the opportunity to possibly try your product!

Here in New Mexico during the winter and spring winds can be in the 50mph range day after day. This wrecks havoc on my skins drying it out and the dust storms beat it to a pulp. In order to counteract natures forces, I could certainly use some sensitive skin soaps!

Razor burn. Plain and simple. For 30 years I have dreaded doing any care for my face. Any soap leaves me dry, crackly, and uncomfortable. Any attempt at shaving would leave my face a craggy landscape of various hues of irritated red. If it were not for the paradigm shift of being able to shave in a non modern manner, and use truly natural products, I would still be suffering every morning to this day. Now I can look forward to starting off my day in a pleasing and attractive way.

The reason i have the most sensative skin in the world is because God ran out of his "handmade soap" when he was making my face causing redness, dryness, and irritation. I want a moisturizing shave, so I can start day without my face feeling like it was kicked in and so that I can feel like the dos equis guy when I walk out the door.

Thanks for the contest. My face breaks out but I can't use any decent facial cleansers because it just burns like crazy. I'm still on the quest to find the right stuff!

Id love to participate in this contest. I don't have the most sensitive skin in the world, but, i do have issues which range form my skin being somewhat oily in the summer, leading to more acne issues to it drying out in the colder months and needing to use moisturizers throughout the day. for me a soap that doesn't overly dry the skin out is a wonderful thing. i would love to try your shave soap out because i am still looking for the soap that works best for me.
