Until now I'd not seen one in the wild. How rare are these compared to the HD's Juniors etc?

I think it´s very rare. The case is a little bit different to a HD case: the HD will not fit into the 54A case

Oh that is interesting to know. I thought the "shelved" cases were all the same. I'll have to examine the ones I have, but I'm pretty sure they all hold HDs in them (? or maybe I don't remember so good).

The HD's fit- but you can't get the lids closed as the handle it too fat

Thanks Achim. That's what I thought. I've a Parat that I picked up in a blue case like in the OP. I hadn't seen it referred to as a 54A set before though, I thought it was a mismatch of a Parat in a HD case. I'll have to dig them out and see if my HD will also fit in the case.

Love them Rockets! The HD is one of my favorite razors and it was bought from none other than Achim himself.
