I got some plain glycerin at the drug store and rather than adding it to soaps/creams, I am using it after the shave is done. It is clear and odorless, I am just putting a couple drops in my palm, adding a little cold water, and rubbing it on my face.
Does anyone else do this? I am putting the alcohol after shave on first then the glycerin. Right order?
Don't know what the right order is, but I like to put glycerin and water on my face after my aftershave has dried, it makes my skin feel so moist and soft.
Also, during the cold winter months, my skin dries out and flakes off, my black socks will look like my legs have severe dandruff. Have tried all kinds of lotions, potions and greases, but nothing helped until I discovered glycerin. I mix it in a small spray bottle 25% glycerin and 75% tap water and spray it on my body and the skin flakiness is gone.

Been looking at my bottle of glycerin. Gonna try the 25% and water for dry hands. Constant washing and alcohol sprays does not help.

I have added a few drops of glycerin plus a tiny bit of hair conditioner to WH and put it in a small bottle that held a travel size shampoo. Applied after a shave it works wonders.

I add one drop of glycerine to whatever AS or balm I choose.
Sometimes, I like to leave my face moist for the application.
Feels great.

I used to use glycerin before, but it made my skin sticky. and made me break out for some reason. same happened with thyers which hazel with aloe vera. I think Glycerin and aloe vera don't work for my skin.

Now that makes a ton of sense! I'll try that tomorrow.
Yeah, my hands crack in the winter and I have the same thing on my socks. I ignore the socks. But I got a cheap lanolin hand cream at the Susan's Beauty Supply (is that the right name? sounds funny). Great stuff! I keep it on my desk at work.
