whats is RHODIUM plating on a gilette razor and how does it uplift the value ?

I guess it is because Rhodium (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhodium) is fairly inert, corrosion resistant, hard and makes the object it is electroplated onto look shiny?

^^^^ what he said. It is a great material to plate in and not cheap to do so (ontoman is now doing it and indicated why it cost more in a thread somewhere)

so any place u guys would advice, where can i get my razor , rhodium plated ?? and how much would it cost me

i mean who does the rhodium plating service for razors ?
and how much is cost and whats the life of the plating ? years ? months ?

Contact ontoman a vendor and member here and well regarded by many (I've not used him). Here (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/259615-The-Rhodium-is-in-the-Building!?highlight=ontoman+rhodium) is the thread where he mentioned he was getting into rhodium.
