I have been back at the lathe again and made a batch of shavingbrushes. Each brush is a one of a kindcreation that is designed by me at the lathe based on the wood and what feelsright for that handle and the knots I have on hand. All brushes are finished with a multi-coatC/A (superglue) finish. Several coats ofwood turners wax is also applied while the handle is in the lathe. Brushes are all best grade or bettersilvertip and the bore of the handle is completely sealed with high grade boat builder’s epoxy at the time the knot is set.
I have had comments that not all my brushes have a “hanging grove” inthem, which is correct. However, anybrush that does not have a grove can be hung by the lip left where the knot andhandle meet. Note that brushes that don’thave a grove have a lip made to hang the brush. In addition most all my designs can be stood on their ends and becauseof the sealing process I use so long as they are shook dry and towel driedbefore inverting they will be fine. If anyone wants I can make a hanger for you price would vary depending on material used.
I do make custom order brushes so if you want a wood, knot combinationgive me an idea of the handle style and your brush will be made to your specsfor a price and time frame we will work out.
