I got one of these the day they came out, and paid....at least $50 more. They're great, I use it all the time.

Got her a 16gb chip so she's not locked into B&N content.

It limits you to 1gb of non-B&N content though.

Stock, the Tablet has 16gb... 13 available and 12gb reserved for B&N content.
The Nook Color is 8gb... 6 available and 5gb for B&N content.

I have no clue what she intends to use it for, but I get the feeling that B&N may not be her primary source.
