I guess I've finally come to terms with being one of the chosen.

Chosen? Yes, chosen by the Veg.

I have been resisting for almost a year, since I bought that bottle, decanted it, aired it, sniffed it, dabbed it, and finally splashed it; only late at night, when no one was around.

A year before that, I had sniffed the Veg out of a bottle in a store, and some got on my hands by accident. It did smell like urine, and I did my best to wash the smell off, to no avail.

But now, there was a perverse pleasure in smelling what I thought smelled like feline micturation, as long as it wasn't public. And yes, I have always detected the urine note in the Veg: it has never escaped me.

I decanted the Veg in a vintage Nouveau bottle. It looked exotic, green, and quite Victorian.
It certainly made the Veg look attractive.

I was content with being a private vegetarian without being one of the chosen: As long as no one knew, no one could laugh at me, point fingers, or make faces.

Two months ago, the girl I was dating then, happened to notice the bottle, and asked me what it was. I said that it is an aftershave, notorious for smelling like cat pee. She took a whiff, said she liked it, and asked me to wear it, which I did. She commented all day how much she like the scent, and how clean it smelled.

Thus, the genie came out of the bottle. There was no doubt now I was one of the chosen.

What has happened after this is interesting:
I must own 15 aftershaves, but every day after shaving, I see myself unconsciously reaching for the Veg, which is something I have never done with another AS. I always think about it and choose. (Today, for example, I had to direct myself to wear Floid, though I had originally reached for the Veg without thinking.)

Is this happening to the other chosen? Have you turned into a Lilac zombie, or am I the only one? Do you catch yourself always reaching for the Veg?

I think a support group is in order.

Well done. Now you just need a vintage bottle for comparison.
