I am one of those people who's birthday and Christmas are only a few days apart. For all of my nearly 63 years I have gotten use to hearing, "I only bought you one present, but it's very nice and it is for both your birthday and Christmas". So be it.
I guess I am sort of like the "man who has everything", so my wife always asks in advance, "what would you like this year"?
I already have plenty of DE and straight razors, enough soap/cream to last for awhile, but I still suffer from SBAD. I am really embarrassed to say how many brushes I have.
In the past year I purchased two brushes from one of our vendors (Rodney Neep) http://www.pensoftheforest.co.uk/shaving/shaving-brush.html and they are the favourites in my lengthy rotation.
Two weeks ago Rod posted a thread in the vendor forum about a limited edition brush and a 25% discount. I knew immediately that I had to have one.
SWMBO asked, "are you sure you need another brush"? "Of course I do"!, I answered.
Well, here it is (pre-bloom), a Lions Head carved out of Kenya Stone. It is a 24mm knot with a loft of 55mm. I do not get to use it until Christmas, but if it is anything like the other two brushes that Rod made for me, then I know that I will be pleased.
