I would like to see if any one has a La Nouvelle or other coticule that is 175x40 or close looking to trade for a different layer. This stone is 150x40 in size. And was mined before 05/08 which was the original date of puchase. I have used this stone to set bevels all the way up to final finishing and usually with just water and no slurry. It provides a nice keen and smooth edge easier than a lot of coticule do. It has a nice medium draw to it and though it is somewhat of a hard stone it feels soft when the blade is being honed on it. It is not very fast on slurry and maybe just as fast on water but as I said it does provide nice edges rather easily as far as coticules are concerned. If this is of interest please pm me with the details of your offer rather than replying to this thread. Thanks,Scott

Is that a La Dressante with La Grosse Jaune tendencies?

After using this stone some more i can honestly say i would just end up buying it back...AGAIN. So I have decided to keep it. I Don't know why I have such an attachment to it. I think its the way it feels when honing with with it. Its like honing on crushed velvet.:001_wub: Trade offer retracted.
