May I pose a question?
do you refer to the gender of your razor (if at all) as male or female?
apart from the obvious Fatboy (gotta be male) how do you THINK of your razor???
Did SHE cut you, HE cut you or IT cut you?
Your feedback gents is, as always, greatly appreciated...

I've never thought of the gender before, but I like Jim's answer. I'll go with it.

As with cars, boats, guns and razors:
"Ain't SHE a beauty"!
Thanks,

In Spanish most of the words used for razor are of female gender, so I'll say a she. Plus, I don't like the idea of a dude stroking my face...she it is.

IT but if I had to choose, anything that brings be this much enjoyment but still has the potential to cause allot of pain and blood shed, would have to be a she.
EDIT* also just remembered - while they do not need to be, have the potential to cause high ongoing costs (aka- ADs), SHE

If I am bragging it is a "she", otherwise "it" is just a razor.

As I'm Spanish and here it's "she" (maquinilla de afeitar), here you have!
In English? What else could be such a beauty? She!
Depends on the razor. For example, Lady Gillette is obviously a female, whereas Fatboy is a male.

Gender is determined by chromosomes. My razors don't have chromosomes. Furthermore I don't personify inanimate objects. So they are all genderless tools in my eyes.
Some more "she's"

Technically, sex is defined biologically - gender is a social construction.

I think of my razors as masculine, but on reflection, they do have sharp tongues...

IT.
Along with some other possessions such as watches and bicycles, my razors have a certain character, and I personalize them a little bit. They're still "its" though, and although it wasn't asked, they don't have names.:001_rolle

My first thought - 'It's a razor.' But then again my car is a 'she'. So after some consideration, my closed comb razors are 'he' the open comb 'she'. Not sure why but that seemed correct to me.

"It" cut me. Gender neutral, but with personality. Think androgynous.
Fat Boy would definitely be "he".
Lady Gillette would definitely be "she".
All others are "it".

My car = She
My razor = It
Not sure why, I just don't ascribe a gender to my razor. Perhaps if I had a more unique straight or something.
