I still have done nothing with the pen I picked up recently. The sac appears ok, but this pen can take refills right?? Which ones??

Does currently have a converter? If it does unscrew the barrel from the nib, place the nib into a bottle of ink, squeeze the bar three times, leave the nib in the ink for 10 seconds, wipe the excess ink. It should start to write. If you rather use a cartridge remove the converter and install a Parker ink cartridge. Parker ink cartridge should be available at any office supply store.
Enjoy your pen.

Sounds to me you have the older converter for the 45... I have 2 Parker 45 pens one is a desk pen and have 2 NOS converters for them.. I wanted to keep it as vintage as I can.... I didn't want to put a plastic converter in these pens..
