We are going to have a houseful of family and friends on Thanksgiving Day, and I'm wondering - what fragrance are each of you going to wear for family gatherings on this holiday?

I am leaning toward Back to Black. Something warm and comforting.

Or, I might roll with Habit Rouge EdP..... Hmmm decisions, decisions.

I'd wear what I liked.

:lol: I agree, I'm pretty certain that whatever I wear will be one I like.

I'm glad I asked, though, as it's interesting hearing some of your ideas, like going for warm and comforting, or a tried and true scent that is liked by you and by others, or wearing something new which you may still be enjoying getting to know better, or one that fits the weather.

I'm going to continue thinking about the possibilities, but your collective thoughts are helpful and most appreciated. :thumbup1:

I may end up with my wife's current favorite - Mazzolari Mazzolari. Or, I may go with one I love - Sigilli Athunis

Kenneth Cole Reaction. I have not really gotten away from the "main stream" scents yet...

Doesn't matter, by the time dinner is ready I wind up smelling like smoke (from cooking the turkey on the BGE) and giblets.
That would make a pretty good frag.....smoke and fat!

This year, Thanksgiving is also my 40th birthday (but don't let that hijack the OP), so I'll be wearing the fanciest swankiest stuff I got - perhaps Habit Rouge parfum - smoking cigars, and keeping the scotch cabinet wide open. Cheers all, have a great Holiday. It's nice to get a little vacation for the Big One.

Perhaps Mazzolari - Lui or Sashka Black by M. Micallef.

Giving this more thought, Amouage - Tribute seems most fitting.

So you'll decide a day in advance, Gary?

Dior Leather Aoud or YSL Kouros. Or maybe I'll go retro and it will be an Old Spice day.

Various Cooking Smoke is almost as good as Old High Pressure Lube. Someday I'm gonna bottle Old High Pressure Lube. I'll be in my own personal heaven, all by my very lonesome self!

smoking cigars, and keeping the scotch cabinet wide open.

It's a good thing we aren't neighbors. Aside from frags, cigars and scotch are my other two hobbies. We'd be in big trouble... Happy Birthday bro.

This year I'm cooking thanksgiving dinner in Argentina and the seasons are reversed so it'll be 90 degrees...it's making the choice interesting. I packed 6 samples so I think I'll decide after I get there. maybe quorum, i think it might mix well with the food aromas, or maybe encre noire to be classy in the heat...

I've decided to go with Parfums de Nicolai New York. It's a favorite of mine, I've received compliments from the family before with it, and it lasts all day.

Thanks for sharing all of your ideas, folks, and Happy Thanksgiving! :thumbsup1

I was going to wear Jubilation XXV but woke up to sunny blue skies and it felt like an Eau Sauvage kind of morning. It's blending in well with the smells of apple and pumpkin pies coming from the kitchen.

Maybe Knize Ten. Maybe break out that Carlos Santana sample Randy tossed me over the summer that I have yet to try. It's supposed to smell like apple pie and woods. Really, though, I wish I still had some Gucci I on hand.

I'm leaning towards Royal English Leather, but Domenico 1913 may be a dark horse

On this special day, I'm thinking about several special scents. My beloved Parfum De Nicolai New York is always a possibility and Creed Royal Oud is fantastic. But I'm also feeling a bit daring so Caron Yatagan and No.3/The Third Man are possibilities. The celery note of Yatagan might blend well with today's dressing and the floral notes of The Third Man are, well, special indeed!! :tongue_sm

I called an audible when the wife suggested I wear vetiver, and then said, "or something green." I thought, why not go with one that qualifies for both!
