View Full Version : Neck Shavers - Where do you draw the line?

My facial hair varies from a goatee to a full beard, very occasionally totally clean shaven. So beard sporting neck shavers, how far down do you bring the beard? No-Shave November (just can't wear a moustache) has me back to full beard, and I'm not happy with where I've "drawn the line" in past years.

My shave currently goes up the jawline. It seems to work best and doesn't look half-bad.

When I was sporting chin shrubbery, I shaved right up to the bottom of my jaw bone.

Haven't had my beard in many years, but when I did ... I just shaped the bottom line to where it looked kept! My neck was covered in whiskers!

(If I grew my beard now, I could get a job as Santa! "Yes son, Santa only has a small potbelly; he has slowed down eating reindeer meat!")

The beard should go under the jaw line

It always looks silly when a guy stops it right on the tip of the chin.

This is what I used to do - for some reason it doesn't look right to me anymore. Meh, probably still where I'll end up doing again.

This is, I think, more what I'm aiming for, on the neck at least. Just can't decide how high. I don't think I want to go all the way to the shirt collar.

Thanks for the replys.

Half inch or so under the jawline so when i stretch my chin up in the mornings to shave it'll stop right under jaw. Makes things less complicated.

Exactly like GWYM's picture!
