Just paid £8 on a Carboot sale for a vintage (1940/50’s?) travel shaving set in leather case. It’s not quite complete but I was only interested in the 2 chrome travel tubes with Bakelite interiors and the matching soap box. When I got it home and inspected it more closely, the “soap box” turns out to be a chrome razor case with blue velvet lining, complete with what appears to be a 1940’s Gillette slim handle Tech made in England.
Also in the box is an unused Minx Razor Blade still in its original wrapper. I can only find one reference to this on the net which indicates they were made during the 1930’s.
Does anyone have any more information about Minx Razor Blades, Made in Sheffield, England?
Many thanks.
